The Shoot

We could not have ordered better weather for the shoot. It was a cool, bright sunny day without a cloud in the sky. Eighteen shooters participated in the rifle matches and ten or so stayed after lunch for the pistol matches.

Joe Lutz prepared his great hotdog and beans lunch including kraut and chili. We actually sent Tom Plante to the store for more dogs, but because several shooters went home early, we had too much food, so everyone was invited to have thirds.

Stan Gurski ran the line, Tom Plante handled registration and scoring. Although we had several regulars missing, we still had a great turnout and a fine match.

Here is a summary of the shoot:

Polish Campaign- We had a new shooter this year, Polish Born Weislaw P. won the match with his Polish Mauser. Other matches were very close.

John M won a the BAR match shooting a 97-3X. Steve S h was hissing mad that his 96-5X got beat, however Steve won other matches, including the Tommygun Match. He shot an excellent xxx with his Thompson.

Handgun events Larry L with a P-08, Steve S won Allied Auto with his 1911. Steve also took Allied revolver with a 38 Victory and the OSS trophy also went to Steve Smith - he shot a great 99-3x and just missed shooting a 100. Please contact us for the correction. Sniper went to Andy G with his Mosin 91/30 sniper that was made for the Soviet Union, captured and modified by the Finns and recaptured by the Soviets. John M did some great semi auto BAR work to win a prize.

If any of the participants see any errors or misspellings please respond so I can correct for publication and posting on the internet.
