We tried anew format because Cherry Ridge no longer gives us exclusive use of the range. There were a large number of ARs on the line, but most were from Cherry Ridge members. Black "assault" rifles seem to be overtaking traditional sporting and target rifles.

We had Seventeen participants, 16 in person and one from Maine by mail in target. Weather was 50 degrees, light wind, occasional sun but not too cloudy.

We did range changes on the hour and half hour. You could put up to 4 targets on the frame and had approx 20 minutes to fire 4 with 10 shots on each.

Our participants brought a variety of vintage rifles like Krags, Springfields, and M1 Garands. A vintage Finnish capture SVT40. We put a lot of ammo down range with no jams or misfires. One individual brought rifles but forgot to pack ammo, so he got to watch for free.

Following registration, all shooters were assembled (social distancing applied) and given the match rules, and social distancing regulations. Because we were sharing the range with other ANJRPC members, our shooters were mixed in with them, making the events a little trickier to manage.

Contest rules required shooters fire 10 rounds in 2 minutes at a 100 yards. Targets were Speedwell G-15 25 yd slow fire pistol placed at 100 yards or Speedwell Economy B-27 placed at 50 yards for some of the Black Powder Matches and Specialty Matches.

This year there were twenty-one (21) rifle contests in the course of fire with a few new events.

Even with the limited number of shooters, several events went "unclaimed" even though guns qualified for the events were on the range. One only needed to turn in their score to win.

These scores are based on targets turned in to me. I know of at least one person who was firing a WWI 03 with 1918 barrel and finger grip stock which was correct for the #10 Belleau Woods event, but no target was turned in.
